Reconfigurable battery systems: Challenges and safety solutions using intelligent system framework based on digital twins

Research on Reconfigurable Battery Systems (RBS) is gaining emphasis over the traditional fixed topology of battery pack due to its advantages adapting flexible (series-parallel) during operation in for meeting non-linear time-dependent load requirements. There could emerge serious issues such as those related safety malfunction switching circuit, heat generation from switches frequent circuits, charging temperature rise, increased time, sensing arising use low-accuracy voltage/current sensors, state charge/state health estimation, and cost increasing number switches, fuses, contactors, relays, circuit breakers etc. To address these mentioned issues, problem optimal RBS formulated a mathematical multi-objective optimisation problem. An intelligent system framework based digital twins proposed. The proposed further extended life cycle management approach that includes interactions among design, assembly operational recycling levels. This provide greater access real-time big data cloud storage designers, manufacturers industries, who can make it optimise their designs, systems operations.
